The layout was thoughtfully reworked to improve light and flow, most notably by integrating the balcony into the living space, allowing the home to open up visually and spatially from the moment one enters. A layered palette of warm neutrals, muted greens, classic profiles, and soft textures was chosen to evoke calm and familiarity. Gentle curves, shaker style detailing, and carefully designed joinery introduce depth and softness, steering the design away from stark minimalism while remaining relevant to contemporary living

Designed for an Indian family living in Singapore, Classic Aura reflects a conscious move away from overly modern interiors. While many homes around them lean towards sleek contemporary styles, the clients wanted a space that felt warmer, more familiar, and rooted. Our approach focused on creating a sense of ease, where tradition and modern living could quietly coexist without either feeling dominant.

Given the typical constraints of HDB apartments, where services and utilities are often exposed, special attention was paid to thoughtful concealment and detailing. From bathrooms to utility areas, elements such as pipes, services, and storage were seamlessly integrated within the design, ensuring a clean and composed visual language throughout. Across the home, spaces were designed to feel lived in rather than styled, functional, adaptable, and comfortable for a growing family. Classic Aura ultimately captures the client’s desire for a home that feels grounded in warmth and memory, while embracing the ease of modern life in Singapore.
